Cairo: The Ministry of Housing has announced the offering of 17 new plots for craftsmen, each measuring 300 square meters, in the Seventh District of New Minya City. Alongside these, 53 workshops with areas ranging from 13 to 29 square meters will be available in October Gardens City. This announcement was made on Sunday, August 31st, 2025, and marks a significant move aimed at fostering job opportunities and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Housing Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny emphasized that this initiative is part of a broader strategy to provide services in new urban communities. These efforts are expected to enhance economic activities and offer new possibilities for craftsmen in the area.
The New Minya City Authority has informed that interested individuals can acquire the terms booklet and visit the sites during working hours to gather more information. The plots in New Minya City are set to be auctioned on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, providing an opportunity for craftsmen to secure space for their enterprises.
Furthermore, the October Gardens City Development Authority has announced that the workshops will be allocated under a five-year usufruct agreement. Public auction sessions for these workshops are scheduled for Wednesday, October 1, and Thursday, October 2, 2025. These workshops are expected to offer craftsmen a conducive environment to hone their skills and expand their businesses.
