Cairo: Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa el Menshawy met with Michael Jalbert, CEO of Forbes Global Properties, and his accompanying delegation to review the proposed Forbes Global Tower project in Egypt, as the ministry seeks to support international projects and investment in the Egyptian market.
According to State Information Service Egypt, El Menshawy stated that the ministry is committed to supporting internationally oriented projects and creating a business environment that enables global companies and brands to expand in Egypt. She highlighted the importance of Forbes projects in strengthening private-sector partnerships and attracting international investment, aligning with Egypt's initiative to promote green building and sustainability in urban development.
Jalbert, CEO of Forbes Global Properties, presented the Forbes Global Tower as a flagship project combining urban innovation with environmental sustainability. He described it as the world's first zero-carbon-emissions tower and outlined Forbes' vision for developing the project in Egypt. Jalbert praised Egypt's ongoing urban and development expansion, as well as the advanced infrastructure and facilities offered by its new cities. He mentioned that the project would help strengthen the Forbes brand's presence in Egypt and the wider region.
The Forbes Global Properties CEO expressed his appreciation for the Housing Ministry's support, noting that the project's Platinum certification under the Green Pyramid Rating System, issued by the Housing and Building National Research Center, reflects Egypt's commitment to green building and sustainability standards. He emphasized that the certification is also a key element in advancing the project in line with the highest international standards.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to maintain coordination to strengthen cooperation, leverage available expertise and capabilities, and support development efforts while creating more opportunities for partnerships with global companies and institutions.
