Japan: Japan's Hiroshima University has awarded Education and Technical Education Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif an honorary doctorate in recognition of his efforts to reform and develop the education system over the past two years.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Hiroshima University President Mitsuo Ochi noted that the award also acknowledged Abdel Latif's role in strengthening educational ties between Egypt and Japan. The collaboration has expanded to include areas such as programming, artificial intelligence, financial literacy, and teacher training, which Ochi emphasized as part of the broader cooperation with the university.

Ochi highlighted Egypt as one of the university's key strategic partners, remarking that recent collaborations have marked a shift in bilateral academic relations. The strengthened partnership is expected to foster further educational advancements and mutual benefits.

In response, Abdel Latif expressed his gratitude to the university for the honor, dedicating it to Egypt's teachers. He also emphasized the potential for the Egyptian-Japanese educational partnership to expand through new joint projects aimed at preparing students for future challenges.
