Tashkent: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Abdelaziz Konsowa departed for Uzbekistan on Monday, July 6, 2026, to participate in the First International Islamic Civilization Forum, held under the theme "Islamic Civilization: The Path to Peace, Tolerance and Enlightenment."
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Forum is scheduled to take place from 7 to 11 July in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Termez. It will gather ministers, senior officials, scholars, and experts from Egypt and various Islamic countries to deliberate on the role of Islamic civilization in promoting peace, tolerance, intercultural dialogue, and sustainable development.
The participation of Egypt underscores its commitment to enhancing cooperation in education, science, and culture, especially as it currently chairs the General Conference of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO).
Abdelaziz Konsowa also holds the position of Chairman of the Egyptian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture.
