Grand Mufti of Egypt and Mufti of Kazakhstan Explore Coordination Between Fatwa Institutions

Cairo: Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide (GSFOW) Nazir Ayyad engaged in discussions with Mufti of Kazakhstan Nauryzbai kazhy Taganuly about expanding coordination and integration between fatwa institutions. The talks aimed at exchanging expertise on issues of mutual interest, as well as addressing contemporary intellectual challenges, promoting moderate religious discourse, and enhancing the role of religious institutions in serving their communities.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting occurred on the sidelines of the second International Conference of the Egyptian Dar Al-Ifta, which concluded on Tuesday. The event saw participation from several ministers, scholars, and muftis from across the globe. During the discussions, Egypt's grand mufti underscored the significance of building effective partnerships between fatwa institutions. He highlighted the need for unified efforts, exchange of insights, and addressing emerging issues through collective reasoning and sound scientific methodology. He also emphasized the crucial role of the GSFOW in supporting and fortifying this collaborative path.

Mufti of Kazakhstan, Nauryzbai kazhy Taganuly, commended the efforts of the Egyptian Dar Al-Ifta in fostering institutional cooperation and advancing fatwa work. He expressed optimism for increased coordination and collaboration in the future to serve Muslim communities and promote values of understanding and coexistence.
