Cairo: The Grand Egyptian Museum's (GEM) administration has announced the implementation of an advance booking system for entry tickets starting Sunday, November 16. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' efforts to enhance services across Egypt's museums and improve the overall visitor experience.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the new system aims to regulate visitor flows more effectively, ensure smooth entry, and provide greater comfort and safety. This move aligns with the museum's status as a leading cultural landmark. Visitors are encouraged to adhere to the time slots specified on their tickets, with booking and available times accessible via the museum's official website: www.gem.eg.
The administration also revealed that, starting December 1, 2025, online booking will be the sole method for purchasing entry tickets every day of the week, including public holidays and weekends (Friday and Saturday). On-site ticket sales will be suspended until further notice.
