Foreign Ministry Unveils Official Digital Platforms to Enhance Global Diplomacy

Cairo: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates announced on Friday a list of its official online website links, pages and accounts in Arabic and English. The step reflects a growing awareness of the importance of digital soft power in shaping the state’s image, as well as a clear orientation toward enhancing transparency and openness in communication with public opinion.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the announcement underscores the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening its digital presence across various international platforms, an approach that Minister Badr Abdelatty has been keen to establish, reinforce, and continually monitor. The move further highlights the Ministry’s eagerness, along with its media arm represented by the Public Diplomacy Department, to keep pace with the rapid transformations in global diplomatic communication tools.

The digital sphere has become a primary arena for interaction and influence, not only among governments but also with people and global public opinion. This approach reflects the Ministry’s adoption of a more modern, flexible, and interactive diplomacy, based on the effective use of technology and digital platforms to convey official messages with accuracy and speed.

This enhances the state’s ability to clearly present its positions, counter any misinformation, and consolidate its status as an active and influential player in the regional and international environment. Meanwhile, this step responds to the strong interest of millions of citizens both domestically and internationally, including Arabic speakers and other foreigners, in following Egypt’s positions and foreign policy regarding regional and international issues.
