Foreign, Higher Education Ministers Advocate for Egyptian Students and Researchers Abroad

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and Higher Education Minister Abdelaziz Konsowa emphasized the importance of providing support and care for Egyptian students and researchers abroad through diplomatic missions to leverage their expertise for national development.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the ministers met on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, to discuss enhancing international coordination and cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research. The meeting addressed the role of Egyptian cultural offices abroad in strengthening academic ties, expanding exchange programs, and maintaining links with expatriate communities.

They also tackled the development of joint educational programs with various countries and ways to maximize their benefits. Abdelatty underlined the necessity of bolstering the global presence of Egyptian educational institutions, while Konsowa reviewed academic cooperation with international universities and efforts to attract more foreign students to Egypt.
