Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's full solidarity with Kuwait during a phone call with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, stressing Cairo's firm rejection of any attacks targeting the security and stability of Gulf states. During the call, the two ministers consulted and coordinated positions regarding rapidly evolving security developments in the region.According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty underscored Egypt's firm stance in condemning any assaults against the security and stability of Gulf countries, affirming that there are no justifications that could legitimize such violations, which breach the rules of international law and threaten regional peace and security. The call also addressed the direct impact of the ongoing military escalation on air navigation and logistical arrangements across the region.The top diplomat expressed Egypt's understanding and support for the p recautionary and sovereign measures taken by Kuwait, including the closure of its airspace, to ensure the safety and security of its territory and citizens amid surrounding threats. He stressed the urgent need for an immediate halt to military escalation, warning of the catastrophic consequences of the region sliding into a comprehensive war.Abdelatty also emphasized the importance of prioritizing diplomacy and dialogue and activating mechanisms of joint Arab action to provide an effective umbrella for Arab national security. The Kuwaiti foreign minister expressed his country's deep appreciation for the Egyptian leadership's supportive stance toward Gulf security, praising Cairo's commitment to continued coordination and its pivotal role in leading de-escalation efforts in the region.
