Cairo: On Monday, September 29, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, received Ms. Elizabeth Dibble, Director General of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) in Sinai.According to State Information Service Egypt, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, stated that Minister Abdelatty emphasized the importance of the role played by the MFO over more than four decades in Sinai since the signing of the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty, describing it as a fundamental pillar supporting peace and stability in the region.The spokesperson added that Minister Abdelatty praised the ongoing coordination between the MFO and the Egyptian authorities, and highlighted the importance of continued international support for the MFO, appreciating the participation of its member states as a reflection of international backing for its vital role and mission.For her part, Ms. Elizabeth Dibble commended the excellent cooperation between th e MFO and the Egyptian side, and expressed her appreciation for the full cooperation and facilitation provided by the Egyptian authorities to the MFO.
