FM Outlines Egypt’s Strategic Role in the Horn of Africa in Editorial

Cairo: The widely circulated French magazine "Jeune Afrique" published an editorial by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, underlining Egypt's strategic role in the Horn of Africa. The article underscored the region's strategic significance and its close link to Egypt's national security, particularly regarding the Red Sea corridor and the Nile basin.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty emphasized Egypt's comprehensive approach through its diplomatic, economic, and cultural tools. He highlighted the country's contribution to the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) and efforts to expand cooperation with regional states in energy, infrastructure, and education.

The initiatives are in line with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to build a comprehensive strategic partnership aimed at enhancing peace, security, and development in the region, he added.
