Cairo: Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, inspected the task force established within the Ministry's consular department to monitor the conditions of Egyptian citizens in the region, including Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon. This comes as part of following up on the rapidly evolving developments and military escalation witnessed in the region.According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister Abdelatty reviewed the workflow of the operations room and the communication mechanisms between embassies and consulates and Egyptian citizens. The Minister directed that all available resources be mobilized to provide all forms of care and support to members of the Egyptian communities abroad. He also stressed the importance of conducting detailed follow-up on their conditions, including Egyptian citizens stranded in a number of countries in the region, in order to facilitate their return t o their homeland.Minister Abdelatty also instructed Egyptian diplomatic and consular missions to continue round-the-clock monitoring of citizens' conditions through dedicated hotlines, ensuring swift responses to their inquiries, addressing their needs, and providing the necessary consular support and care. During his inspection of the task force, Minister Abdelatty received a briefing on the efforts undertaken to respond to inquiries from Egyptian citizens. The briefing indicated that the central hotline, announced at the onset of the recent developments, is responding daily to more than 2,000 citizen inquiries, in addition to numerous inquiries received by Egyptian missions abroad, which are addressed immediately.
