Washington: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, left for Washington on an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and discussing pressing regional issues.According to State Information Service Egypt, during the visit, the foreign minister is scheduled to meet with senior officials in the US administration, including US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as well as members of Congress. The talks will tackle ways of advancing the Egyptian-American strategic partnership and exchanging views on the latest developments in the regional landscape.Abdelatty will participate in the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in his capacity as Egypt's Governor at the World Bank. The meetings fall within the framework of enhancing cooperation with international financial institutions and consulting on global economic developments in a way that supports Egypt's national economic priorities .
