Brussels: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty left for Brussels on Monday, July 14, 2025, to participate in the 5th Ministerial Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the European Union (EU) and the Southern Neighborhood Countries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this visit takes place as part of ongoing consultations on the proposed "New Mediterranean Pact," which the EU is expected to launch by the end of the current year. The meeting aims to discuss strategies and frameworks that will enhance cooperation and address challenges in the Mediterranean region. The involvement of Southern Neighborhood Countries is seen as a crucial step in fostering collaboration and mutual understanding in various sectors.
