FM Heads to Amman for Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty departed for the Jordanian capital, Amman, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, to participate in the ministerial meeting on Jerusalem, scheduled for Wednesday.According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting is being held within the framework of ongoing Arab coordination and consultations on developments in Jerusalem and the occupied Palestinian territories, with a focus on supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and preserving the legal and historical status quo in Jerusalem.On the sidelines of the meeting, Abdelatty is expected to hold bilateral meetings with participating foreign ministers to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral relations, exchange views on key regional and international issues of mutual concern, and strengthen Arab coordination in addressing current challenges in a manner that supports security and stability across the region.
