FM Heads for Doha as Part of Strategic Gulf Tour

Doha: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty left on Sunday, March 15, 2026, for Doha as part of a tour of several Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this tour aims at holding necessary coordination and consultations on the rapidly evolving developments in the region and delivering a message of solidarity with Arab brothers. During his visit to Qatar, Abdelatty will engage in high-level meetings to address the ongoing military escalation in the region.

This visit underscores Egypt's steadfast position in supporting Qatar and all Arab nations. It asserts Egypt's complete solidarity, as expressed by its leadership, government, and people, in standing alongside its Arab brothers in confronting security challenges. Moreover, the visit emphasizes the joint efforts to de-escalate tensions and prioritize the diplomatic path to maintain regional peace and security.
