Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday, June 12, 2026, had a phone call, during which they discussed the latest developments in US-Iran negotiations and efforts to reach an agreement between the two sides.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty emphasized the significance of maintaining momentum toward reaching an agreement, expressing hope that the opportunity would be seized to bring the war to an end and support regional stability.
In a related context, Abdelatty also held phone talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who briefed his Egyptian counterpart on the latest updates in the ongoing negotiations.
