FM Engages in Dialogue with French Counterpart on Gaza Crisis

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs Dr. Badr Abdelatty, received a phone call from French Foreign Minister Mr. Jean-No«l Barrault as part of their regular communication to exchange views on the latest regional developments of mutual interest.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, stated that the two ministers exchanged views on the developments in the Gaza Strip. Minister Badr Abdelatty expressed his appreciation for the French position supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and France's historic recognition of the State of Palestine.

Badr Abdelatty reiterated the importance of concerted international efforts to ensure the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2803 and the necessity of enabling the UN peacekeeping force to carry out its mandated tasks, thereby supporting the consolidation of the ceasefire in accordance with the plan of US President Trump and the transition to the second phase of the plan.

Badr Abdelatty also emphasized the importance of ensuring the safe and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and creating the conditions for the commencement of early recovery and reconstruction. Furthermore, Badr Abdelatty stressed the importance of proceeding with the formation of the Palestinian technocratic committee to administer the Gaza Strip.
