Brussels: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty praised the growing momentum in Egypt's relations with Zambia. This came during a meeting he had with Zambian Foreign Minister Mulambo Haimbe on the sidelines of the African-European Ministerial Meeting held in Brussels.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty emphasized the importance of boosting trade exchange by enhancing access for Egyptian products to the Zambian market. He highlighted the potential benefits from the two countries' membership in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).
Abdelatty also welcomed the ongoing coordination between the Arab Contractors Company and the Zambian Ministry of Infrastructure to implement a number of projects. He praised the existing cooperation between Egypt and Zambia in the health sector as a key area of collaboration.
He further stressed the significance of continued coordination between both countries in regional and international organizations, particularly the African Union, to serve the interests of Africa and its peoples.
