Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held talks with Michael J. Rigas, US Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, on the strategic relations between Egypt and the United States and ways to further strengthen them across various fields.According to State Information Service Egypt, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination and consultation between the two friendly countries and building on the positive momentum in bilateral relations in a manner that serves their shared interests. They also stressed the importance of further developing political, economic, trade, and investment cooperation, given that the Egyptian-American partnership represents a key pillar in supporting security and stability in the region.The meeting also addressed the latest regional developments, the rapidly evolving situation across the region, and exchanged views on efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and containing the current esc alation. Abdelatty emphasized the importance of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions and dialogue in addressing crises while intensifying regional and international efforts in this regard in a way that contributes to preserving the security and stability of the region.
