Baghdad: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted the utmost keenness on boosting bilateral relations between Egypt and Mauritania on all fronts. The foreign minister's remarks came at a meeting with Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the ministerial preparatory meeting for the Arab Summit in Baghdad. Abdelatty expressed anticipation for the upcoming convocation of a joint committee between Egypt and Mauritania, scheduled to take place this month in Nouakchott.
He highlighted the importance of mutual coordination between the two countries on various Arab and African issues, underscoring the significance of collaborative efforts in strengthening regional ties.
