Cairo: The fifth edition of the international Fly In Egypt Rally 2025 commenced on Friday, October 10, 2025, and will run until October 18. This event is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and in collaboration with youth, sports, and tourism authorities. Organized by The Flying Pharaoh and supervised by the F©d©ration A©ronautique Internationale (FAI), the rally features a fleet of 12 aircraft and includes over 30 pilots and navigators representing 13 countries from both the Arab and European regions. The rally takes off from Sphinx International Airport and will conclude in Hurghada, covering major Egyptian landmarks along its route.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El Hefny highlighted that the rally underscores Egypt's ability to host international events, positioning the nation as a safe and appealing destination for aerial and sports tourism. He emphasized that such events bolster Egypt's status as a regional aviation hub. The rally is designed to showcase Egypt's natural beauty from an aerial perspective and aims to support tourism through promoting aerial sports. Additionally, it seeks to foster an interest in aviation culture among the youth.
