Copenhagen: Minister of Environment, Dr. Yasmine Fouad, emphasized the importance of just transition pathways in achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement during a panel discussion at the Copenhagen Ministerial on Climate Change. She highlighted the role of the Just Transition Work Programme-launched at COP27 in Egypt and continued at COP28 in the UAE-in supporting equitable climate action, particularly for developing nations.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Dr. Fouad stressed that climate policies must consider national circumstances and ensure no one is left behind. She welcomed the focus on adaptation and resilience in upcoming climate dialogues and called for stronger international cooperation to implement fair and effective transitions to low-carbon economies.
