Cairo: Electricity and Renewable Energy Minister Mahmoud Esmat held talks with a delegation from China Southern Power Grid International (CSGI) on enhancing cooperation in electricity transmission and distribution.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions focused on strategies to integrate renewable energy sources more effectively into the existing power grid. Both parties explored opportunities for collaboration in upgrading infrastructure and technology transfer to improve efficiency and sustainability in electricity distribution.

Minister Esmat emphasized the importance of international partnerships in advancing the country's renewable energy agenda. The meeting with CSGI is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with global energy leaders and leverage their expertise in renewable energy solutions.

The Chinese delegation expressed interest in contributing to Egypt's energy sector, highlighting their experience in managing large-scale power grids and implementing innovative energy solutions.
