London: Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel El-Wazir, during his visit to London, held a series of meetings with the heads of seven British companies to discuss potential investments in Egypt.
According to State Information Service Egypt, El-Wazir met with Julian Rogers Coltman, the Chairman of Polar Hydro, to discuss the company's investment strategy in Egypt. Their discussions focused on a transformative project at the Shubramant landfill site, which the company plans to convert into a state-of-the-art, zero-emission waste treatment facility. This project also aims to establish an open green park, drawing inspiration from Al-Azhar Park, while embracing a unique historical character. This initiative is situated between the Giza and Saqqara pyramids, within a 730-acre site at the heart of ancient Egyptian civilization.
The chairman of Polar Hydro elaborated on the project's scope, which includes educational, recreational, and tourism activities. The total investment is projected to reach $4 billion, with no financial burden imposed on the Egyptian state.
