Cairo: Foreign ministers of Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia voiced their categorical condemnation of Israel's ongoing illegal settlement policies in the occupied Palestinian territory, rejecting the E1 settlement plan and related activities east of occupied East Jerusalem.

According to State Information Service Egypt, in a joint statement on Friday, the ministers renewed their condemnation of settler violence and violations against Palestinians and their property, backed by Israeli occupation authorities. They emphasized that such actions do not diminish the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, constitute breaches of international law and relevant UN resolutions, and pose a severe threat to regional and global peace.

The ministers warned that the E1 plan is a dangerous escalation advancing settlement expansion and annexation, severing the territorial contiguity of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and threatening the viability of an independent Palestinian state along 1967 lines. They stressed that these measures directly defy international peace efforts, notably President Donald Trump's comprehensive peace plan, which rejects annexation and forced displacement, and contradict Trump's commitment against West Bank annexation to resolve the conflict.

Reaffirming the two-state solution based on international law and UN resolutions, the ministers called it the only viable path to a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace. They warned that moves undermining the two-state solution will escalate tensions and jeopardize regional and international stability.

The ministers backed all accountability measures, including international sanctions against individuals and entities responsible for illegal settlement activities and annexation policies, urging an immediate halt to all funding supporting settlement establishment or expansion. They stressed that the lack of accountability perpetuates violations and damages prospects for a comprehensive peace.

The ministers called for immediate action to halt the E1 scheme, reverse associated measures, and end all actions altering the demographic and geographical character of occupied Palestinian land. They urged the UN Security Council and international community to fulfill their legal obligations by halting settlement expansion, protecting the Palestinian people, and upholding their right to self-determination and statehood.
