Cairo: Egypt's Institute of National Planning (INP) and Sudan's Omdurman National Bank have engaged in discussions aimed at expanding cooperation in training, research, and capacity building. The discussions focused on developing a joint framework for future collaboration.

According to State Information Service Egypt, INP President Ashraf el Araby met with a delegation from Omdurman National Bank, led by Director General Abdel Moneim Mohamed el Tayeb, to explore areas of mutual interest and potential cooperation. The dialogue centered on leveraging the institute's expertise in training, research, and consultancy to enhance the skills of banking professionals and support institutional development.

El Araby emphasized that the INP's programs could play a significant role in transferring knowledge and expertise to Sudan and other Arab and African nations. This would be achieved particularly through professional training and leadership development initiatives.

During their visit, the Sudanese delegation toured the institute's facilities, including lecture halls and a library equipped with specialized publications on banking, finance, and management. El Tayeb expressed interest in utilizing the INP's academic and training expertise to advance the skills and performance of Omdurman National Bank's employees.

The discussions also included the establishment of a joint framework focusing on training, capacity building, and other priority areas to reinforce institutional cooperation.
