Egypt’s Housing Minister Mandates Comprehensive Safety Checks

Cairo: Egypt's Housing Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny has mandated a thorough review of fire safety, cybersecurity, and workplace health protocols across all entities linked to the ministry.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister has directed that current fire alarm and firefighting systems be examined and enhanced as necessary to align with technical standards. Additionally, he emphasized the need for reinforced digital protections to safeguard the ministry's infrastructure from cyber threats.

Minister El-Sherbiny also stressed the importance of maintaining safe working environments within affiliated organizations. This includes implementing preventive measures, providing protective equipment, and conducting regular training and awareness programs.

The minister has requested that time-bound plans be developed for system upgrades, along with periodic progress reports, to ensure adherence to safety standards across the ministry's various sectors.
