Egyptian Tourism Minister Highlights Unique and Rich Social Experience for Tourists

Cairo: Tourism and Antiquities Minister Sherif Fathi has affirmed that the Egyptian tourism product stands out for providing "a unique and rich social experience for the tourist." He emphasized that all promotional campaigns for Egypt focus on this distinctive aspect of the country's tourism offerings.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister made these remarks during a specialized workshop held at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). The event, which included representatives from "Trip Advisor," one of the largest global platforms specializing in travel and tourism, was part of an ongoing partnership between the ministry and the platform. The workshop was attended by representatives of the platform and the private tourism sector.

Fathi underscored that Egypt's tourism experience differs from many other global destinations, which are often limited to sightseeing and shopping. Instead, he highlighted the diverse activities and various tourist sites available in Egypt, which contribute to a unique tourism experience.

The minister further elaborated on the ministry's focus on two main axes aimed at developing a new tourism product. He noted that Egypt has the necessary components to create new and varied tourism products, which will attract visitors. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is working on formulating a long-term vision that builds upon Egypt's existing assets, such as beach tourism, the Holy Family journey route, cultural tourism, and spiritual and religious tourism. These efforts aim to ensure that tourists have a compelling reason to return to Egypt for future visits.
