Egyptian Red Crescent Sends 307th Convoy of Aid to Gaza

Cairo:The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) dispatched its 307th convoy under the 'Zad Al-Ezza From Egypt to Gaza' initiative on Monday, November 2, 2026. The convoy carries more than 1,582 tons of essential aid, including flour, food parcels, and urgent humanitarian supplies, to support the residents of the Gaza Strip amid a severe bread shortage and bakery disruptions.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the convoy is part of Egypt's ongoing efforts to deliver critical assistance to Palestinians in the enclave. The shipment includes flour, food parcels, relief supplies, medicines, medical equipment, and fuel needed to operate bakeries, hospitals, and other vital facilities. These efforts aim to sustain essential services across the enclave, particularly with the approach of winter.

The ERC highlighted that the 'Zad Al-Ezza' initiative has delivered over 3,667 tons of assorted humanitarian aid, including supplies for bakeries, hospitals, and vital infrastructure in Gaza. The organization has maintained a presence along the border since the crisis began, boosting readiness at logistics centers and enhancing efforts to prepare and deliver necessary aid to the enclave.

The total aid delivered to Gaza has exceeded one million tons, with more than 75,000 volunteers participating in the humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people and alleviate their suffering. The situation remains sensitive, as Israeli forces had previously closed crossings, restricted aid, and imposed other barriers following ceasefire breaches and renewed hostilities, impacting the delivery of necessary supplies.
