Cairo:The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) has launched its 303rd aid convoy, known as 'Zad Al-Ezza From Egypt to Gaza,' to deliver essential humanitarian and relief supplies to the Gaza Strip. This convoy, dispatched on October 26, 2026, is part of ongoing efforts to support Palestinians and address their basic needs as winter approaches.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the aid convoy is carrying over 3,690 tons of supplies, including food parcels, flour, relief items, medical equipment, and fuel crucial for operating hospitals and other essential facilities in Gaza.
The ERC has been actively involved along the border since the onset of the crisis, with logistics centers prepared to facilitate the delivery of aid. To date, more than 1 million tons of aid have been delivered, with the support of over 75,000 volunteers.
The report also outlines the history of the Gaza conflict, highlighting restrictions on aid, the resumption of deliveries in 2025, temporary humanitarian pauses, and negotiations involving Egypt, Qatar, and the United States. A ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel was achieved on October 9, 2025, under a plan proposed by US President Donald Trump and mediated by Egypt, the US, Qatar, and Turkey. The second phase of this agreement commenced on February 2, 2026, after the completion of prisoner and hostage exchanges.
