Cairo: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) on Thursday, July 23, 2026 dispatched the 241st convoy under its "Zad Al Ezza... From Egypt to Gaza" initiative, sending a number of trucks carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as part of its role as the national mechanism for coordinating comprehensive humanitarian assistance to the enclave.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the convoy carried tons of humanitarian supplies, including food baskets, flour, medical supplies and relief items, as well as fuel needed to operate hospitals and other vital facilities in Gaza.
The ERC stated it has maintained a presence at the border since the start of the crisis, adding that the Egyptian side of the Rafah Border Crossing has never been closed.
The organization emphasized its continuous state of alert at logistics centers, striving to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian and relief aid to Gaza. The ERC reported that aid delivery has exceeded 1 million metric tons, with support from more than 75,000 volunteers.
