Egyptian Radio Celebrates Sinai Liberation Day with Dedicated Programming

Cairo: Head of the Egyptian Radio Abdel Rahman Al-Bassiouni announced the broadcaster's plans to mark Sinai Liberation Day with special programming. The celebrations aim to reflect Egyptian Radio's national and media role in promoting awareness of the country's history and fostering a sense of belonging, especially among younger generations.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Bassiouni stated on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, that Egyptian Radio has curated a special programming lineup for the occasion. This includes open segments and dedicated shows throughout the day, which will highlight the heroism of the Egyptian Armed Forces and key milestones of victory and liberation. The programming will also feature veterans of the October War.

Bassiouni further explained that the celebrations would include broadcasting a selection of patriotic songs that express national pride. Additionally, cultural and awareness segments will focus on the strategic importance of the Sinai Peninsula and the state's development efforts in the region.

Bassiouni emphasized the institution's dedication to documenting national achievements and commemorating the occasion in a manner that reinforces values of loyalty and belonging among Egyptians.
