Cairo: The Egyptian pound (EGP) posted strong gains against the US dollar (USD) on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, according to Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the CBE quoted the average buying rate at EGP 49.2937 and the selling rate at EGP 49.3937. This represents an improvement compared to Tuesday's rates, which were EGP 49.4006 for buying and EGP 49.5006 for selling.
