Egyptian-Moroccan Cultural Forum Commences at Bibliotheca Alexandrina

Alexandria: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) Center for Strategic Studies, in partnership with the Center for Islamic Civilization Studies and the Mediterranean Forum for Youth in Asilah, Morocco, has launched the 'Egyptian-Moroccan Cultural Forum.' The event is being held from January 28 to 30, 2026, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Conference Center, Delegates Hall.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the forum was inaugurated by Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, alongside Mohamed Ait Ouali, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Egypt. The event aims to unite youth and experts from Egypt and Morocco in an academic and intellectual dialogue. This dialogue is intended to explore the role of culture in building bridges between official institutions and civil initiatives, while also recalling shared memories as a gesture for dialogue and cooperation.

The forum serves as a dialogue platform among diplomats, academics, researchers, and intellectuals from both countries. It covers themes such as Egyptian-Moroccan cultural relations, culture and soft diplomacy as a means of communication, national identity and cultural diversity, the symbolic power of culture in relations between peoples, and the role of youth in revitalizing cultural engagement.

The event symbolizes a significant step within a cultural approach that views culture as a shared responsibility and a living bridge linking memory to the future.
