Amman: The Egyptian Embassy in Jordan has issued a set of important security guidelines to Egyptian nationals residing in the Arab state, in light of recent security developments and military escalation in the region, underscoring its commitment to the safety of the Egyptian community.According to State Information Service Egypt, the embassy stressed the need for full compliance with official instructions issued by the competent Jordanian authorities, including adherence to safety measures when air raid sirens are sounded. In a statement released on Saturday, the embassy emphasized the importance of following these guidelines diligently.The embassy also urged citizens to keep local emergency numbers readily available-911 for police, ambulance, and civil defense-in addition to the embassy and consulate emergency contacts. Egyptian nationals were further advised to register their information with the consular section to facilitate easier communication during emergencies. The embassy extended its wishes for the safety and well-being of all community members.Meanwhile, Chairman of the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, Captain Daifallah Alfarajat, called on travelers to and from Jordan to contact their respective airlines directly to confirm flight schedules before heading to the airport. He said the current regional situation, combined with airspace closures in some neighboring countries, could cause slower-than-usual air traffic. He noted that the measure is intended to ensure the highest safety standards and avoid congestion at airport terminals caused by potential schedule changes.The commission affirmed that it is actively monitoring the situation in coordination with all relevant authorities to ensure smooth operations and provide necessary support to passengers during the exceptional circumstances facing the region.
