Hong kong: Secretary-General of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities Mohamed Ismail Khaled and Director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum Louis Ng signed a cooperation agreement to organize a major temporary exhibition titled 'Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums'. The exhibition is scheduled to be held at the Hong Kong Palace Museum from November 18, 2025, to August 31, 2026.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the signing ceremony took place in Hong Kong, in the presence of senior Egyptian and Chinese cultural officials. The exhibition will feature approximately 250 artifacts carefully selected from a number of Egyptian museums, including the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, Luxor Museum of Ancient Egyptian Art, Suez National Museum, and Sohag National Museum.

The exhibition will showcase recently excavated artifacts from the Saqqara archaeological site, alongside a curated selection of items presently exhibited in the 'At the Summit of the Pyramid: Civilization of Ancient Egypt' exhibition in Shanghai. The exhibition focuses on three key themes: Royal Egypt, the Era of Tutankhamun, and Archaeological Discoveries from Saqqara.
