Kuwait city: Egypt's Ambassador to Kuwait, Mohamed Gaber Abul Wafa, held a meeting with Egyptian expats to check on their conditions amid current regional developments. The meeting was organized as part of the foreign ministry's commitment to promoting communication channels with Egyptians living abroad and ensuring their needs are met, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the ambassador applauded Egyptian expats' adherence to the instructions issued by Kuwaiti authorities. He underscored the importance of maintaining this sense of responsibility and exercising caution to ensure public safety. Expressing full confidence in Kuwait's ability to provide necessary care and support for all expats, Abul Wafa emphasized the active role of the Egyptian embassy and consulate in Kuwait, which are operating at full capacity to provide consular services and support.
During the meeting, the ambassador listened to inquiries and suggestions from attendees and promised to study them carefully for the benefit of Egyptian expats. Meanwhile, Egypt's consul in Kuwait, Sherif Bedair, outlined the measures taken to follow up on the conditions of Egyptian expats and provide them with necessary support. He also highlighted the consular communication channels dedicated to that purpose.
