Tunis: Egyptian Ambassador to Tunisia Bassem Hassan discussed with Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development Samir Abid on Friday 29/8/2025 ongoing preparations for the 18th session of the Joint Egyptian-Tunisian High Committee, set for September 8-11 in Cairo. During their meeting, they emphasized the importance of ensuring the upcoming session achieves effective outcomes, following the directives of the political leaders of both nations to enhance bilateral economic, trade, and cultural ties.According to State Information Service Egypt, both parties reiterated their commitment to regularly convene the joint committee under the leadership of the prime ministers from Egypt and Tunisia, aiming to strengthen relations across various sectors. They highlighted the importance of this collaboration in fostering mutual growth and development.The discussions also included plans for a business and investment forum, which will involve the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, the Tunisian Union for I ndustry, Commerce and Handicrafts, and the Tunisian Export Promotion Center. The forum will host investors and representatives from major companies and private sector institutions from both countries, further solidifying the economic partnership between Egypt and Tunisia.
