Madrid:Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk traveled to Madrid to attend the opening of the Fruit Attraction 2026 Fair. The event is set to begin on Tuesday and conclude on Thursday, with key participation from exporters, importers, and international retail chains.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Farouk's visit is upon the invitation of Spanish Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Luis Planas. The visit aims to discuss cooperation, exchange expertise, and facilitate agricultural trade between Egypt and Spain through one-on-one meetings.
Farouk emphasized the importance of adhering to high standards of quality and traceability in production and exports, which has increased confidence in Egyptian agricultural products globally. He assured continued government support to enhance competitiveness and address challenges in agricultural exports.
The minister highlighted that Egypt's involvement in the fair showcases the prominence of its agricultural products in international markets. The fair aligns with the start of the new export season, providing companies the opportunity to establish contracts and expand their market presence.
Farouk noted the significant Egyptian presence at this edition of the fair, with several companies participating to leverage the event's momentum. The aim is to open new markets, stay updated on supply chain developments, and boost Egypt's agricultural export revenues and global competitiveness.
