Egypt: EgyptAir is expanding its international network to Algeria and Italy through scheduled and seasonal flights, strengthening direct access to Egypt's key Red Sea destinations and supporting inbound tourism.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the national carrier is operating 26 special flights from Algeria to Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada, carrying around 3,200 tourists on Boeing 737-800 aircraft. It will also launch direct seasonal flights from the Italian cities of Bari and Catania to Sharm El-Sheikh, operating through September in cooperation with major tour operators.

EgyptAir currently operates 14 weekly flights between Cairo and Algiers, as well as 33 weekly flights to Italy-comprising 14 to Rome, 17 to Milan, and two to Venice. The Cairo-Venice route, launched in June, is scheduled to expand to three weekly flights starting in October.

The expanded connectivity is expected to facilitate travel, support tour operators and hotels, and strengthen Egypt's competitiveness by linking key source markets directly with its tourism destinations.
