Cairo: Egypt's para powerlifting team concluded the individual events of the Para Powerlifting World Championships with a total of five medals-two gold, one silver, and two bronze-at the tournament held in the New Administrative Capital.According to State Information Service Egypt, Mohamed El-Minyawi (59kg) and Rehab Radwan (61kg) secured gold medals, while Hadi Abdelhadi took silver in the 97kg category. Additionally, Fatma Mahrous (67kg) and Mohamed Sobhy (88kg) achieved bronze medals, marking a successful competition for the Egyptian team.The event, hosted in Africa for the first time, commenced on October 9 and is set to conclude Saturday with team competitions. The final individual events saw China's Feifei Zheng win gold in the women's 86kg category by lifting 153kg. Brazil's Tayana Medeiros secured silver with a 147kg lift, and Nigeria's Blessing Ibeh claimed bronze with 136kg. Egypt's Naglaa Ragab placed fifth in the same category.In the men's +107kg category, Iran's Ahmad Aminzadeh clinched gol d with a 260kg lift. Brazil's Gustavo Amaral followed with a silver medal at 251kg, and Georgia's Akaki Jintcharadze took bronze with a 250kg lift.
