Egypt to Issue Commemorative Silver Medal for Historic World Cup Qualification

Cairo: Egypt's Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kouchouk, has announced the issuance of a commemorative silver medal to celebrate the Egyptian national football team's unprecedented achievement of qualifying for the World Cup second round for the first time. This historic milestone has been met with widespread enthusiasm and national pride.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Minister expressed his deep joy over the team's qualification and highlighted the unity among Egyptians in supporting the squad. He conveyed his best wishes for the continued success of the players and the technical staff as they embark on this significant journey.

Gamal Hussein, Head of the Public Treasury and Mint Authority, explained that the medal will be crafted from 900-caliber silver and feature a design that elegantly combines the global sporting event with Egypt's rich ancient heritage. This commemorative piece will be made available to the public at the authority's sales outlet starting mid-July, marking a proud moment in the nation's sporting history.
