Egypt Supports Global Expansion of Petroleum Companies to Enhance Foreign Revenue

Abu dhabi: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi announced the government's commitment to promoting the international growth of Egyptian petroleum companies to enhance the national economy and increase foreign revenue. This initiative aims to leverage the expertise of Egyptian professionals and maximize value addition.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, Minister Badawi visited a Petrojet worksite. Petrojet, the engineering and construction division of Egypt's petroleum sector, is involved in a significant infrastructure project at UAE oil fields. The project, known as WAVE C3A, is being executed under an engineering, procurement, and construction contract for a consortium of Abu Dhabi energy companies, ADNOC and TAQA (Marafeq).

The project focuses on the transportation and injection of treated seawater into wells at the Bab and Bu Hasa oil fields, as part of efforts to improve oil production efficiency. Badawi emphasized that ongoing investment in workforce development, equipment modernization, and digital technology adoption would enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian companies, reinforcing their status as reliable partners in regional energy and infrastructure projects.

The Minister highlighted Petrojet's strategic role in the UAE project as a testament to the confidence placed in Egyptian petroleum companies in regional markets. He praised the company's workforce for their adherence to quality, safety, and discipline standards, which he described as exemplary of Egyptian professional expertise.

Badawi also noted that Petrojet's success in both national projects and international ventures has solidified its reputation as a dependable partner in energy and infrastructure. This success is attributed to the company's quality, speed, and cost efficiency, which enhance its potential for securing additional regional and international contracts.
