Cairo: Egypt has expressed strong condemnation of Colombia's decision to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Syrian Golan, denouncing it as a breach of international law and related international resolutions.According to State Information Service Egypt, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry released a statement emphasizing that this move infringes upon Syria's established and legitimate rights over its territory. The statement stressed the necessity for Israel to withdraw from the occupied Golan. Egypt highlighted that any measures intended to consolidate Israel's occupation or legitimize its annexation of the Golan lack legal effect and do not change its legal status.Cairo reaffirmed its support for Syria's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, as well as its right to the occupied Golan. The statement called for adherence to international law and the principles outlined in the UN Charter. Additionally, Egypt warned against actions that could entrench the occupation or threaten regional secur ity, stability, and peace.
