Cairo: Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad emphasized the need to enhance the efforts of Egypt's labor representation office in Lebanon to ensure the welfare of Egyptian workers, monitor their conditions, and serve their interests. This initiative aims to bolster cooperation between Egypt and Lebanon in labor, employment, and vocational training.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Raddad made these remarks during a meeting with Egypt's Ambassador-designate to Lebanon, Tamim Khalaf. The meeting was held in anticipation of Khalaf's forthcoming duties as ambassador, focusing on enhancing cooperation and coordination on labor-related matters.

The discussions highlighted the current conditions of Egyptian workers in Lebanon and explored strategies for improving their care and supervision. Additionally, the meeting addressed labor mobility and the exchange of expertise in vocational training, employment, and occupational safety and health between the two nations.

Both parties also deliberated on accelerating the completion of procedures for electronic connectivity in the labor sector. This advancement aims to regulate labor mobility, facilitate the exchange of data and information, and strengthen institutional cooperation mechanisms between Egypt and Lebanon.
