Los angeles: Egyptian Consul General in Los Angeles Hossam El-Din Ali received 48 historical Egyptian artifacts from the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for repatriation to Egypt. The handover is part of the ongoing cooperation between Egypt and the United States aimed at recovering smuggled Egyptian antiquities and preserving Egypt's cultural heritage. According to State Information Service Egypt, the handover ceremony saw the consul general express Egypt's deep appreciation for the return of these rare artifacts to their homeland. He commended the level of cooperation between Egypt and the United States in various fields, with a particular emphasis on efforts to recover smuggled Egyptian antiquities and protect the country's cultural heritage.
