Cairo: The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced that the Badminton World Federation has selected Egypt to host the BWF World Junior Championships, which will be held in October 2026. This development underscores Egypt's increasing role in organizing major international sporting events.According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister of Youth and Sports, Gawhar Nabil, stated that hosting the tournament signifies renewed confidence from international sports federations in Egypt's ability to host international championships. Nabil highlighted that this achievement was made possible due to the robust support provided by the political leadership to the sports and youth sector.The minister emphasized that the ministry will provide all necessary support and collaborate with the Egyptian Badminton Federation to ensure the championships are organized to reflect Egypt's stature and sporting reputation.
