Cairo:Egypt has emphasized its commitment to supporting efforts aimed at restoring security and stability in Yemen. This announcement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty, during a statement on October 31, 2026.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty highlighted Egypt's backing of various political and diplomatic initiatives intended to resolve the crisis in Yemen in a manner that aligns with the aspirations of the Yemeni people.

In discussions held with Yemeni Foreign Minister Afrah Al-Zouba in Bahrain, Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's support for Yemen's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Nader Zaki, the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, reported that the ministers also addressed developments in the Red Sea, underscoring the importance of ensuring maritime security and freedom of navigation through international waterways.

Both ministers called for increased efforts to manage regional tensions and prevent any escalation of conflict, aiming to bolster security and stability throughout the region.
