Gaza:Egypt has initiated the distribution of new tents to displaced Palestinian families in Gaza as part of preparations for the approaching winter.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Egyptian Committee for Gaza Relief spokesman Mohamed Mansour announced that emergency teams are working to identify families living in damaged tents and are replacing their shelters with newly delivered tents from Egyptian relief convoys.
Mansour highlighted the challenges posed by the coming winter for Gaza residents, many of whom remain in temporary shelters. He also mentioned that the committee is expanding its efforts in education and healthcare in the region.
In collaboration with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the Palestinian Education Ministry, and UN organizations, more than 36,000 Palestinian students have returned to school this year. This was made possible by the opening and equipping of 20 schools, facilitated by the committee.
